The Role
We are seeking an experienced Planning Supervisor to join our Birkenhead team, reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Manager. Leading a team of two Planners, you will be accountable for effective planning, coordination and leadership of shutdown and maintenance planning processes — ensuring the site operates safely, reliably, and cost-effectively. This is a great opportunity for a maintenance planning professional to step into a leadership role within a heavy industry environment, with real influence over reliability outcomes and site performance.
Responsibilities

Lead and standardise integrated weekly/fortnightly/monthly planning across all workgroups

Act as SAP Champion — maintaining the CMMS (equipment register, bills of materials, PMs, etc.)

Collate, scope, and plan shutdown activities to be delivered safely, on time and within budget

Develop maintenance work packs to achieve benchmark reliability performance

Support condition monitoring of key assets to inform shutdown planning development

Manage store stock and support supply chain relationships for effective inventory control

Report on shutdown program progress and support development/monitoring of shutdown and annual maintenance budgets

Coordinate maintenance and contract work groups to safely execute shutdown and project work scopes

Lead, coach and develop the Planning team, fostering collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement

Adhere to and champion Adbri safety standards, holding the team accountable for safe work practices
What You Need to Succeed

Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications

Extensive maintenance or shutdown planning experience, preferably within heavy industry

Prior team leadership/supervisory experience

Strong working knowledge of SAP (or similar CMMS) and MS Office

A genuine commitment to safety and HSEQ standards

Strong stakeholder engagement, organisational, and budget management skills
