About the role
As a Contract Administrator, you'll play a critical role in protecting the commercial performance of major infrastructure projects.
Depending on your experience and strengths, your focus may be on commercial analysis and financial performance or partnering with project managers to deliver projects in line with contractual and commercial requirements. In both pathways, you'll collaborate with project teams, identify risks, solve problems and help drive successful project outcomes.
This role offers genuine career progression, exposure to Tier 1 infrastructure projects and the opportunity to develop your commercial expertise alongside experienced industry professionals.
What you'll be doing
- Support the commercial management of major infrastructure projects.
- Perform cost analysis, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Monitor project performance and identify commercial risks.
- Prepare contractual documentation, notices and correspondence.
- Support claims preparation and contract administration activities.
- Ensure compliance with upstream and downstream contractual obligations.
- Partner with Project Managers, Finance and Operational teams.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes and ways of working.
- Help deliver successful project outcomes through sound commercial decision-making.
About you
We're looking for curious, proactive people who enjoy solving problems and taking ownership. You might have experience in contract administration, commercial administration, quantity surveying, finance, project administration or construction.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear contractual correspondence and present complex information simply.
- Confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions and investigate issues when something doesn't seem right.
- The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Qualifications (or current studies) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commerce, Finance, Law or a related discipline are highly regarded.
- Experience in construction, infrastructure or maintenance environments, and exposure to NEC4 or work management systems such as JAMS or Maximo, will be highly regarded.
