As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated Electrical Draftsperson to join our Design Team based in Murarrie.
About the Role
Working within our experienced engineering and drafting team, you will assist in the preparation of detailed electrical designs for a range of infrastructure projects throughout Queensland. This is a full-time permanent position offering long-term career development and exposure to major utility and land development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical design drawings using AutoCAD and/or BricsCAD.
- Assist with the design of underground and overhead electrical reticulation networks.
- Prepare public lighting and telecommunications design layouts.
- Produce accurate design documentation in accordance with client and authority standards.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, project managers and clients to deliver quality project outcomes.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, industry standards and safety requirements.
- Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental practices.
- Contribute positively to the continuous improvement of drafting processes and design quality.
About You
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- A relevant qualification such as a Certificate III or higher in Engineering (Technical Drafting), Engineering Design, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least one (1) year of relevant industry experience as an Electrical Draftsperson or in a similar engineering drafting role.
- Demonstrated proficiency using AutoCAD and/or BricsCAD.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
- The ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- A commitment to workplace health and safety.
