We're currently looking for compassionate, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker with Makodah Care, you'll work closely with participants to deliver supports that are tailored to their individual goals, preferences and NDIS plans.
Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to build genuine relationships while supporting participants to increase their independence, confidence and community participation.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Community access and social participation
- Assistance with daily living activities
- Personal care (where required)
- Domestic assistance and household tasks
- Meal preparation
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Skills development and capacity building
- Medication assistance (where appropriately trained)
- Implementing Behaviour Support Plans
- Encouraging independence and achieving participant goals
- Completing progress notes and documentation
- Working collaboratively with families, carers and allied health professionals where appropriate
About You

You'll ideally possess:

- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings and weekends as required
Previous disability support experience is highly regarded; however, we also welcome applicants with transferable skills, strong values and a genuine passion for supporting others.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable motor vehicle
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
- Smartphone with internet access
- Australian working rights
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The following will be highly regarded but are not essential:
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Certificate IV in Disability
- Mental Health qualifications
- Experience supporting participants with high-intensity support needs
