This is a key leadership position responsible for delivering high-quality careers and tertiary information programs, guiding students through post-school opportunities, and helping shape purposeful futures for our students.

About the Role
Working closely with senior leaders and the Careers and Pathways Advisor, the Tertiary and Careers Information Coordinator will provide strategic leadership of the School's careers and tertiary information program. The role focuses on supporting students across Years 9-12 by providing expert guidance on tertiary pathways, admissions processes, scholarships, careers education, and post-school opportunities. A teaching load is associated with this position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding Year 12 students through QTAC applications, scholarship opportunities, and tertiary admissions processes.
- Coordinating the School's annual Careers Expo, guest speaker program, careers information evenings, and tertiary institution visits.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with universities, TAFE providers, industry partners, and professional networks.
- Delivering engaging careers education programs and resources that support informed pathway decisions.
- Providing individual support to students exploring university, vocational, interstate, and international study options.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Queensland College of Teachers registration.
- Experience or qualifications in careers education, counselling, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of QTAC, university admissions, scholarship programs, and post-school pathways.
- Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Proven organisational and event management capabilities.
- A commitment to supporting young people as they plan for their future success.
