We are currently seeking an experienced Operational Supervisor to support the day-to-day management of our operations, staff and fleet performance while ensuring safety, compliance and exceptional service delivery.
About the role…
As an Operational Supervisor at Wymap Group, you will take ownership of your shift, ensuring operations run smoothly while supporting both your team and our customers.
This position is rostered across morning shifts, Sunday to Thursday, with start times between 5:00am and 1:00pm.
What your day will look like:
- Undertaking both heavy vehicle driving (HR or HC Vehicle) and forklift duties to support operational efficiency
- Leading and supervising operational staff, monitoring performance, attendance and task completion
- Maintaining compliance with HVNL, WHS and internal policies, including fleet inspections and safety audits
- Liaising with customers, Ops Room and CTO Operational Representatives to maximise service delivery and fleet efficiency
- Delivering toolbox talks, operational briefings and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring staff are fit for work, professionally presented and equipped with appropriate PPE
- Maintaining the professional presentation of operational assets and vehicles
- Responding to incidents, monitoring daily operations and providing shift reports
About you…
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Qualifications:
- Current HR or HC Driver's Licence
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Certificate III or higher in Transport & Logistics (preferred)
- First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate and RACA (preferred)
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an operational supervisory role
- Minimum 3 years' heavy vehicle driving experience
- Experience within the airfreight or cargo industry highly regarded
- Experience with HVNL and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance
- Experience conducting WHS inspections, audits and staff supervision
- Strong communication, conflict resolution and time management skills
- Moderate administrative and computer skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus and consistency
