About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Educator to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a high-quality educational program using the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Monitor and document the individual learning progress of children.
- Supervising the daily activities of children
- Guide, mentor, and supervise room-based staff, including Assistant Educators, students, and volunteers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for families regarding their child's progress and daily routines.
- Ensure the room operates in accordance with the National Quality Standards (NQS) and all Education and Care Services National Laws and Regulations.
- Promote and model safe, inclusive, and engaging practices that uphold the rights and dignity of every child.
- Managing children's behaviour and guiding children's social development
- Work collaboratively within a supportive team and maintain professionalism in line with our Code of Conduct.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care – at a level of AQF Diploma or above. Or alternatively, at least three years of relevant work experience.
- A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Relevant ACECQA approved Child Protection Training or the willingness to obtain.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for safeguarding children and supporting their learning and development.
Experience in early learning or related settings will be highly regarded.
