The Role
As an Accreditation Supervisor, you are expected to supervise provisionally or conditionally accredited teachers working towards Proficient Teacher accreditation. You are responsible for supporting provisionally or conditionally accredited teachers to develop their practice against the Australian Professional Standards (the Standards) for Proficient Teachers and guide them through the accreditation process.
This role requires a minimum of two days per week working onsite at Montessori Academy Head Office in Summer Hill, with travel to Montessori Academy centres across Sydney as required.
- Provide advice and feedback to teachers to support them in meeting the Standards for Proficient Teacher
- Observe teachers’ practices and provide an observation report as required
- Provide timely and constructive feedback
- Collaborate with teachers to help them select appropriate evidence to annotate and submit
- Make declarations on eTAMS whether the teacher's practice demonstrates the Standards
- Refer Professional Development courses to Proficient Teachers
- Respond to all enquiries related to achieving or maintaining Proficient Teacher accreditation
About You
The ideal candidate must have the following:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to commute across Sydney Metro areas
- Bachelor or Master in Early Childhood Education (approved by ACECQA)
- NESA Proficient Accreditation
- Current Working with Children Check
- NSW Police Check
- First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain one
- Understanding and working knowledge of the National Quality Framework, which includes: National Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Attended or willing to attend NESA online courses “Accreditation Supervisors” and “Making Consistent Proficient Teacher Accreditation Decisions”
