At BOQ Group, we're more than a financial services organisation – we're a community of people who genuinely care about making a difference. As one of Australia's leading regional banking groups, we're proud to be small enough to care and connected enough for every individual to make a meaningful impact. Here, your ideas are heard, your expertise is valued, and your work helps shape better experiences for our people, customers and communities.
We're looking for an Employee Relations Adviser to join our People & Culture team, where you'll play an important role in creating fair, respectful and inclusive workplace experiences across BOQ Group. This is a hands-on role that combines technical employee relations expertise with stakeholder coaching, problem solving and people-centred decision making.
Working closely with leaders, People & Culture Business Partners and key stakeholders, you'll provide practical and commercially minded advice across a broad range of employee relations matters. From supporting performance, conduct and grievance matters through to workplace investigations, change initiatives and industrial relations activities, you'll help navigate complex situations with fairness, empathy and sound judgement.
You'll also contribute to building capability across the organisation by supporting leaders with advice, coaching and education, while identifying opportunities to continuously improve employee relations practices and processes. No two days are the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, meaningful work and partnering with leaders to create positive outcomes.
At BOQ Group, you'll be part of a People & Culture function that is passionate about helping our people thrive while supporting our purpose of building social capital through banking.
You'll bring a strong foundation in employee relations and a genuine passion for helping people navigate workplace challenges with confidence, integrity and care. You enjoy partnering with leaders, building trusted relationships and translating complex legislation and risk considerations into practical, actionable advice.
You are naturally curious and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance business outcomes with employee experience. Comfortable managing sensitive matters, you'll approach investigations, grievances and performance matters with empathy, discretion and sound judgement.
You have a strong understanding of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation and are confident managing complex cases from start to finish. You communicate clearly, influence effectively and can adapt your approach to a range of stakeholders, from frontline leaders through to senior leadership and external representatives.
Most importantly, you'll share our values and believe that creating an inclusive, respectful and high-performing workplace matters. You'll be someone who wants to make a real difference, enjoys working collaboratively and is excited by the opportunity to contribute to an organisation where people are at the heart of everything we do.
At BOQ Group, we know our people do their best work when they feel supported, valued and empowered. That's why we're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where individuality is celebrated and diverse perspectives help us grow stronger together.
You'll join a purpose-driven organisation with a proud heritage and a progressive mindset. We offer the opportunity to work on meaningful challenges, collaborate with talented colleagues and contribute to work that makes a genuine impact across our business and communities.
If you're looking for a role where you can influence positive workplace outcomes, grow your career and be part of a team that truly cares, we'd love to hear from you.
