An exciting opportunity is available for an IT Support Engineer at Academy of Education and Innovation Australia (AEI Australia), a leading education provider based in Sydney. About the Role
We are seeking an Experienced IT Support Engineer to support campus IT infrastructure, learning systems, and end-user devices. You will ensure all systems are maintained, issues are resolved promptly, and preventative measures are in place to minimise disruption to academic delivery.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to students, trainers, and administrative staff in person, over the phone or via remote access tools.
- Install, configure and maintain desktop hardware and software, including operating systems, applications and peripherals.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware, and network connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot Operating System and application issues (Microsoft Windows / Mac OS).
- Monitor and respond to support requests in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain the organisation’s website and web portals, ensuring uptime, performance, and content accuracy.
- Provide guidance to end-users on IT best practices, security protocols, and use of IT systems and applications.
- Ability to deliver a comprehensive IT systems audit and developing procedures and manuals where necessary
· Willingness to be hands-on and perform tasks of all levels of complexity when required from level 1 support through to leadership
- Work closely with academic and administrative teams to support training delivery
- Support and maintain Learning Management Systems (LMS) (e.g., Moodle) and Student Management System (SMS) (e.g., aXcelerate)
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- 1-2 years of previous experience in LVL1/2 ICT Support role
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology (or related discipline)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong administrative and troubleshooting skills
- Have strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Prior SOE deployment experience
- Be confident troubleshooting user access, login, and device-related issues
- Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Show a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Be familiar with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle) and Student Management System (aXcelerate)
