Nurtured Education and Care is a family owned and operated long day care located in Gladesville, looking to onboard an experienced Childcare Cook to join our growing team.
What you’ll be doing in this role
As a Cook, you will be planning nutritious, well-presented and appropriate meals and snacks for 55 children (0-6years) whilst adhering to food handling and hygiene practices. You will be responsible for ensuring various dietary requirements and allergies are accounted for. You will also be responsible for menu planning, stock control and food ordering.

We are committed to supporting each child to learn and develop in a safe and inclusive environment, working closely with families to ensure children’s health, safety and wellbeing. We support and emphasise the rights and best interests of the child as paramount as the children are at the centre of all our decision making at the service.
Who we’re looking for
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (essential)
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children's Services (Desirable)
- Experience working in a childcare kitchen (preferred)
- A team-player attitude, with the ability to work effectively with staff and management
- Ability to alter meals to cater to children's allergy and dietary requirements
- Maintenance of a clean and compliant kitchen at all times
