You'll play a key role in strengthening Great Southern Bank's financial crime capability by leading complex investigations, driving continuous improvement and partnering across the business to enhance fraud prevention strategies and controls.
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team of Fraud and Scams Analysts to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
- Overseeing day-to-day fraud and scam operations, ensuring service levels, quality standards and operational targets are consistently achieved.
- Providing leadership on complex fraud and scam investigations, including card fraud, identity theft, application fraud, mule accounts and customer scam matters.
- Supporting the effective management of customer complaints, escalations and high-risk cases with empathy and professionalism.
- Monitoring team performance, case allocation and productivity to ensure efficient workflow management.
- Ensuring investigations are completed in line with regulatory obligations, internal policies and operational standards.
- Building strong relationships across Risk, Operations, Technology, Contact Centre and Branch teams to strengthen fraud prevention and response.
- Using data, reporting and trend analysis to identify emerging risks and recommend improvements.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance fraud detection, investigation processes and operational efficiency.

To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- Experience leading fraud, scams or financial crime operations within banking or financial services.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
- Expertise in fraud investigations, risk assessment and financial crime operations.
- A sound understanding of fraud and scam typologies, regulatory obligations and investigation best practice.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to make confident decisions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across the business.
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience identifying operational efficiencies and process enhancements.
- Relevant qualifications in financial crime, law, business or a related discipline are desirable.
