Salary: $67,306 - $72,354 + Super (annual full-time equivalent)
Pro-rata (0.4 – 0.6 FTE, incl. 10 weeks leave): $23,826 - $38,420

Applications are invited for the position of Art, Design and Technology Assistant, from passionate and innovative candidates with a strong commitment to Christian education. This role is part-time, fixed term (with the possibility of ongoing employment), commencing in Term 3, 2026.
The successful applicant will assist and support teachers in the Art, Design and Technology Department in their preparation and delivery. They will assist in the promotion of the Art, Design and Technology Department in the school through various activities. They will also assist and provide support to teachers in the subjects Art, Textiles and Food.

About the Position

Part-time (0.4–0.6 FTE), fixed-term appointment for Semester 2, with the possibility of ongoing employment.

The Design and Technology Assistant is responsible for:
-
Providing effective support to teachers within the Art, Textiles, and Food Technology areas in lesson preparation and delivery.
- Assisting in the promotion and enhancement of the Art, Textiles, and Food Technology programs across the school through a range of activities and initiatives.

Supporting teachers and students in the practical and organisational aspects of classes.
What We’re Looking For
-
Experience and/or qualifications in areas relating to Art, Design and Technology, including Textiles, Photography, Visual Communication Design, Art, and Food Technology.

A strong interest in, and working knowledge of, disciplines within Art, Design and Technology.

Proficiency in computer applications, with experience in Adobe programs highly desirable.

Previous experience working within a secondary school environment is advantageous.

Experience in mounting, framing and presenting artwork for exhibition and display highly desirable.

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and colleagues.

First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
