Purpose
The Territory Manager – Pulp, Paper & Water Treatment is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities across the pulp, paper, and water treatment markets.
The role focuses on delivering technical and commercial solutions to customers while promoting the company's product portfolio and strengthening relationships with principals, suppliers, and key industry stakeholders.
The successful candidate will manage an assigned territory, achieve sales and profitability targets, provide technical support, and contribute to the strategic growth of the business through market development and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities : Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute territory plans and sales strategies in conjunction with the Business Manager.
- Achieve and exceed sales, margin, and profitability targets across the pulp, paper, and water treatment sectors.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within existing and emerging market segments.
- Expand business with existing customers through cross-selling and value-added solution selling.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and convert opportunities into profitable business outcomes.
- Prepare and submit customer proposals, quotations, and tenders within the territory.
Technical Support & Product Management
- Provide technical product advice and application support to customers.
- Work closely with customers to identify process improvements and optimise product performance.
- Assist with product trials, evaluations, troubleshooting, and implementation activities.
- Identify opportunities for new products and technologies that align with customer and market needs.
Skills & Experience Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience in technical sales, business development, account management, or commercial roles within the pulp and paper, water treatment, industrial chemicals, specialty chemicals, or related industries.
- Proven ability to grow sales and develop long-term customer relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and territory management capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and principals.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
