The Carlisle Castle Hotel is building its kitchen team, and we’re looking for a Kitchen Porter (KP) to join us as we hit the ground running.
We’re a newly opened gastro pub in the heart of Newtown, focused on great food, a strong team culture and creating a venue that becomes part of the local community.
THE ROLE
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be an important part of keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll work closely with our chefs and kitchen team to make sure the kitchen stays clean, organised and ready for service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Keeping the kitchen, dishes and equipment clean
- Assisting chefs with basic prep and kitchen duties
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Taking care of rubbish, deliveries and general kitchen organisation
- Supporting the chefs during busy services
- Helping keep the kitchen running efficiently throughout the day

- Reliable and hardworking

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- A team player with a positive attitude

- Available to work a flexible roster, including weekends
