The Role
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Environmental Scientist to join our small, collaborative team. This is a varied, field-focused role that will see you conducting surveys, assessments, and investigations across a diverse range of projects and environments. Projects span land development, agriculture, environmental monitoring, and soil and water assessment.
We are experiencing strong growth across our environmental consulting work and are looking for someone to grow with us. You will pitch in across a wide range of tasks and projects as needed — we are a small, collaborative team and we value people who think critically, manage their time well, and bring a positive, team-first attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental surveys, fieldwork, and site assessments
- Collect and analyse soil, water, and plant samples in the field
- Prepare reports, impact assessments, and environmental management plans
- Monitor environmental performance and ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist with project planning and approvals across land development, agriculture, and industry
- Apply GIS tools to support spatial analysis and project delivery
- Contribute to broader team tasks and research programs as required
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
- Proficiency in GIS (QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar) — essential
- A genuine team player who takes initiative and supports colleagues
- Strong critical thinking skills and sound executive function
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a varied workload
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A curious mind with a passion for environmental science and sustainability
- Knowledge of Western Australian flora and fauna — familiarity with black cockatoos and their habitat requirements would be well regarded
What We Offer
- A diverse and intellectually stimulating work environment
- The chance to contribute to meaningful real-world environmental outcomes
- Exposure to cutting-edge research in soil science and ecology
- A supportive, experienced team with over three decades of expertise
