Jozo Café is seeking a full-time Chef to join our team in Paddington, NSW.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Chef who is confident in their cooking skills, passionate about food quality and presentation, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Plan and prepare menus based on customer needs and seasonal ingredients.
- Estimate food supply needs and kitchen labour requirements, and place orders with suppliers when required.
- Check the quality, taste, and presentation of dishes before serving.
- Discuss food preparation methods and kitchen operations with managers and other staff.
- Show and guide kitchen staff on cooking methods and food preparation techniques.
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of meals in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Ensure food hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Assist with selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff when required.
- Store, freeze, and preserve food items correctly to maintain freshness and quality.
Skills:
- One year work experience as a Chef
- Certificate IV in cookery is required
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Leadership skills
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
Working Hours: 38 hours / per week
Education/Skills:
Chef: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality
