About the Role
As a Community Support Worker with Kapital Care, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, choice and participation in the community.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care and daily living support
- Supporting participants to achieve their individual goals
- Community access and social participation
- Supporting participants with appointments, shopping and other activities
- Providing emotional and practical support
- Supporting people living with disability, mental health and complex support needs
- Following individual support plans, risk assessments and organisational procedures
- Maintaining accurate and timely progress notes and documentation
- Communicating effectively with participants, families, colleagues and other professionals
- Promoting participant choice, dignity, rights and independence
- Working as part of a supportive and professional team
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or a related qualification, or be currently working towards a relevant qualification
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Vulnerable People registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, as applicable
- Current Police Check
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable, registered and appropriately insured vehicle
- Appropriate vehicle and/or professional insurance where required
- Previous experience working in mental health support – essential
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A commitment to participant safety, dignity and choice

Job Type: Casual
Expected hours: Approximately 25 hours per week, depending on participant and service requirements.
Schedule may include:
- Morning shifts
- Day shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Weekday shifts
- Weekend availability
- Rotating roster
- Longer shifts where required
Pay: $34.44 – $45.28per hour, depending on applicable classification, experience and employment conditions.
