We are seeking an experienced Support Service Employee to join our housekeeping team at a residential aged care facility in Daceyville.
About the role
The Support Service Employee – Cleaning, Kitchen, Laundry (Grade 1) is responsible for working under limited supervision and providing general assistance to higher grade employees in the full range of domestic duties.
The position is accountable and responsible in ensuring compliance with SCC policies and procedures, relevant standards, relevant legislation and accepted industry practices.
This role will join our team on a part-time basis. Mainly assisting in the cafe and with morning tea and afternoon tea, ensuring all fellow staff are committed to serving quality food and courteous service to our residents. This role will also be responsible for duties in the kitchen, laundry and housekeeping/cleaning.

What you’ll be doing

Deliver friendly, professional, and attentive service to all customers, including residents, families, staff, and community visitors.

Engage respectfully with older adults, understanding their unique preferences and needs.

Ensure all fellow staff are committed to serving quality food and courteous service to our residents.

Follow all food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards.

Assist with full range of domestic duties including cleaning, kitchen and food preparation

Be responsible for the general cleanliness of the kitchen, including all appliances, storage areas, work benches and floors

Performing laundry duties to support the smooth running of the facility.

Ad hoc duties in and around the facility, supporting the residents and staff

Previous experience in a similar role (laundry or cleaning will be highly regarded)
