The role:
Currently seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join the Darwin workshop.
Key Duties
Conduct scheduled servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles and equipment
Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs
Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job documentation
Identify defects and recommend repair or replacement solutions
Support fleet availability by prioritising urgent repairs and breakdown response
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Comply with all WHS, environmental, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements
Work collaboratively with supervisors and operations teams to meet service delivery targets
To be considered applicants must be meet the following criteria:
- Qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic essential
- Proven experience working on trucks
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills
- Ability to navigate computer programs for diagnostics and troubleshooting
- HR License preferred
- Ability to work Autonomously
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Strong computer literacy
- Auto Electrical Knowledge and
- You must have your Own tools
