MFY Building & Design Pty Ltd has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Carpenter to join our team. We deliver high-quality residential construction across the Gold Coast.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Installing internal doors, skirting, architraves, jambs and door hardware
· Completing fit-off detailing — shelving, wardrobes, trims and cabinetry
· Reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications
· Taking accurate on-site measurements and setting out work
· Liaising with site supervisors and other trades to keep jobs on schedule
· Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant work area
· Producing finishing work that meets the National Construction Code, Australian building standards and company quality benchmarks
Applicants for this position should:
· Have relevant formal qualifications
· Have at least 1 year of relevant full-time experience, in addition to formal qualifications
· In some cases, 3–5 years' full-time fix-out / finishing carpentry experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications
· Hold a current Driver's Licence and White Card, and have own tools and reliable transport
· Demonstrate strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
· Be able to work both independently and within a team
· Experience in high-end residential fit-outs is highly regarded
Remuneration: $76,600 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus superannuation
