An exciting opportunity has become available for experienced and passionate Restaurant Managers to join the St Albans Group across our premium dining venues located within The Calile Hotel on Brisbane’s iconic James Street precinct.

We are seeking dynamic hospitality leaders who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and are passionate about leading teams, driving operational excellence and creating memorable guest experiences.
As Restaurant Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of one of our venues and work closely with the Executive Management team and business owners. You will be supported by an experienced leadership structure including Floor Managers, Payroll and Rostering Officers, General Managers, Events and Project Managers, and a dedicated HR Manager.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an individual who is professional, energetic and committed to building strong teams and exceptional venue culture.
Lead and oversee daily restaurant operations
Drive exceptional customer service standards and memorable guest experiences
Lead, mentor and develop a large and diverse hospitality team
Manage floor operations in a high-volume, premium dining environment
Oversee labour management, rostering and team performance
Provide ongoing coaching, training and feedback to team members and managers
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and liquor licensing requirements
Manage customer feedback and complaints professionally and effectively
Work within budgeting guidelines and contribute to cost control initiatives
Build strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and internal teams
Foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture aligned with St Albans values
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy, upmarket dining restaurant
Strong operational hospitality knowledge across food, beverage and service
Proven experience managing large-volume trade and customer flow
Demonstrated leadership experience managing large and diverse teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Extensive wine and liquor knowledge
Experience in budgeting, labour management and cost control
The ability to make confident decisions and take ownership of outcomes
A passion for hospitality, leadership and team development
Current RSA certification
Certificate III or higher in Business or Hospitality Management (desirable but not essential)
