Learn and Laugh is a small family-owned company with 11 centre's around Sydney/Central Coast.
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cook to join our team at Learn & Laugh Children’s Early Learning Centre on a Part-time basis. As the Cook, you will be responsible for the health and wellbeing of the children at the Centre through the planning and preparation of appealing and nutritious meals and snacks whilst maintaining a well organised routine of hygienic food preparation, storage and cleaning.
Key Responsibilities:
· Planning and preparing nutritious meals for children on a daily basis.
· Ensuring that the meals prepared meet the special dietary needs of the children with allergies and cultural preferences.
· Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks.
· Order food supplies in line with menus and within service budget and check of food deliveries made to the Centre.
Skills & Qualifications:
. Be willing to complete professional development
· Have completed, or be willing to complete, a Working with Children Check.
· Be able to demonstrate experience in cooking meals within a childcare centre, hospital, aged care facility or similar environment.
