About St Faith’s Narrabeen:
The heart and vision of our community at St Faith’s Narrabeen is to see a Northern Beaches that knows Jesus by making disciples who grow to maturity in Christ for God’s glory. We operate a team pastoring model at St Faith’s with our staff team serving across four congregations on a Sunday along with other mid-week ministries.
The Position:
We’re looking for a passionate and gifted Youth Minister to lead and grow our youth ministry and to invest deeply in the next generation of believers on the Northern Beaches. You'll be joining a church that’s committed to seeing young people know and love Jesus, and who want to partner closely with families as they raise and disciple their children in the faith in partnership with their local church.
This role will be responsible for:
- Discipleship & Pastoral Care – leading and teaching the Bible faithfully across our youth ministries including Soulies Youth Group (Friday nights), Soulies Community Groups, Sunday Sessions (10am & 4pm Church), SummerCamp (January) and KYCK (April).
- Evangelism – building a culture of gospel urgency among our teenagers, equipping them to share the gospel with others, along with SRE in our local primary schools.
- Leadership Training & Development – growing and equipping our volunteer leadership team, while building a pipeline of Junior Leaders for the future.
- Parent Partnership - partnering intentionally with families to support discipleship at home and integrate youth into the wider life of the church.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a mature and godly follower of Jesus.
- Has a theological qualification (at least diploma level) from a reformed evangelical theological college.
- Has experience leading volunteer teams and identifying, developing, and equipping leaders.
- Has experience and competence in teaching the Bible, particularly to younger people.
- Can demonstrate a relational warmth and an ability to work with people of all ages and stages of life.
- Can manage their time and responsibilities well.
- Is keen to get on mission to see a Northern Beaches that knows Jesus.
Remuneration is provided in accordance with the Anglican Church of Sydney’s guidelines for stipend and allowances. This can be discussed with the Senior Pastor at the time of application. Position start date is fully negotiable for the right candidate.
