The Role
Due to a growing pipeline of work, we're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Melbourne Building Engineering Services team, supporting the delivery of complex building services, mission critical and data centre projects across Australia and the broader region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys being hands-on with design, solving technical challenges and developing their expertise within a collaborative consulting environment.
Working alongside Senior Engineers, Associates and technical leaders, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality electrical engineering solutions through all stages of the project lifecycle. You'll gain exposure to some of the industry's most technically demanding projects while building the skills and experience needed to progress your consulting career.
What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our Electrical Engineering team you will:

Contribute to the design and delivery of electrical building services systems from concept through to construction.

Prepare coordinated engineering calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation.

Support the development of power distribution, lighting, earthing, standby power and other electrical infrastructure systems.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.

Assist in resolving technical design challenges and coordinating project interfaces.

Support construction phase services including site inspections, responses to technical queries and review of contractor submissions.

Work closely with Senior Engineers and Associates to ensure high-quality and technically robust project outcomes.

Continue developing your technical capability, project delivery skills and industry knowledge.

Ideally, You’ll Have
-
A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.

Approximately 2-6 years' experience in electrical building services consulting.

Experience contributing to the design and delivery of building services projects across sectors such as commercial, industrial, health, defence, education, sports and aquatic, mixed-use or data centres.

Experience preparing technical reports, specifications and design documentation.

Experience undertaking load assessments, fault studies and coordination studies.

Strong knowledge of Australian electrical standards, codes and regulatory requirements.

Exposure to HV and LV power distribution systems.

Experience using design and analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM, PowerCad, Revit or similar platforms.

Data centre or mission critical project experience will be highly regarded.
