BDS MECHANICAL - WORKSHOP MANAGER
BDS Mechanical Repairs Aus is seeking an experienced and driven Workshop Manager to lead our Gold Coast operations based in Arundel. This key leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee and optimise daily workshop operations within a large, privately owned, and rapidly growing organisation, while fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of workshop operations, including workforce planning, parts and inventory management, contract administration, and the effective allocation of resources. A strong focus will also be placed on building and maintaining positive client relationships, ensuring service excellence, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

About you:
- Management experience essential
- Trade qualified Diesel fitter/Diesel mechanic/LV Mechanic preferred but not essential
- Experience with automotive workshops a bonus
- Strong communication skills
- Good people management skills
- Proven record for leading a successful team
- Ability to manage all aspects of the business effectively
- Ability to lead continuous improvement and WH&S
- Proficient in the computer skills
- Ability to drive business growth, cultivate new opportunities
- Maintain positive customer relationships
The Position:
- Day-to-day running of a mechanical business
Job Planning & Execution
- Job planning including customer liaison
- Assist in opening and closing job cards
- Job tracking & reporting
- Estimating and quoting
Client Relations
- Ability to deal with internal and external clients
Team Leadership & Performance
- Management of staff performance
- Workshop safety management
- Quality control and management
- Willing to be hands-on and not afraid to be on the tools
