Fortitude Protective Services is growing, and we are looking for professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officers to join our team.
We have opportunities available across premium shopping centres, major retail sites, and standalone stores throughout Sydney.

The Role
As a Retail Security Officer, you will help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers, staff, contractors, and visitors.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting regular patrols of retail premises and surrounding areas
- Deterring and responding to theft, shoplifting, and loss prevention incidents
- Monitoring CCTV and security systems where required
- Identifying and reporting suspicious behaviour, hazards, and security risks
- Providing professional customer service and assistance to shoppers and staff
- Responding to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures
- Liaising with site management, emergency services, and relevant authorities when required
- Following and enforcing site security procedures and store policies
- Completing accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation
- Maintaining a professional appearance and high standard of conduct at all times
What We're Looking For
We are seeking officers who are:
- Current NSW Security Licence – Mandatory
- Current First Aid Certificate – Mandatory
- Previous retail security or loss prevention experience highly regarded
- Professional, reliable, and punctual
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Capable of writing clear and accurate incident reports
- Customer-focused and approachable
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Available for day, evening, night, weekend, and peak trading shifts
- Calm, confident, and professional when dealing with challenging situations
