We are a fast-growing wholesale and retail business in the building and tile industry. We are currently going through an exciting transformation and are looking for an experienced, hands-on finance professional to help build strong financial systems and support our growth.
This is not just a bookkeeping role. You'll play a key role in improving our financial processes, implementing systems, and supporting management with accurate reporting.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Daily bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- BAS preparation and support for accountants
- Payroll processing
- Cash flow reporting
- Inventory reconciliation
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Managing and improving Xero and Odoo ERP
- Assisting with month-end reporting
- Helping implement finance SOPs and internal controls
- Supporting management with financial analysis and reporting
Essential Skills
- Minimum 3-5 years bookkeeping experience
- Advanced Xero experience
- Experience using Odoo ERP (highly desirable)
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience with inventory-based businesses
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Able to work independently and improve existing systems
Highly Desirable
- Experience in wholesale, construction or building products
- ERP implementation or optimisation experience
- Understanding of inventory costing
- Process improvement mindset
