About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication, project coordination and construction management while working alongside experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with project coordination from award through to completion.
- Prepare material take-offs, quantities and cost estimates.
- Review architectural and structural drawings.
- Liaise with clients, builders, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with procurement of materials and scheduling deliveries.
- Coordinate shop drawings and drawing revisions.
- Conduct occasional site visits and attend project meetings.
- Prepare SWMS, project documentation, RFIs, quotations, variations and progress claims.
- Assist with quality assurance and project administration.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (recent graduate or graduating soon).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to read engineering and architectural drawings.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Experience in using AutoCAD 2D/3D, Tekla and other design software is a plus.
- Experience in using Planswift/Bluebeam or any other estimation software is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and develop within the structural steel industry.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Australian working rights.
- Current driver's licence (preferred but not essential).
