Our client is seeking an experienced IT Change & Configuration Manager to lead the governance, execution, and continuous improvement of Change Management and Configuration Management (CMDB) practices across the Client's technology landscape.
This is an initial 6-month contract with an extension likely and based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:
The role operates in a highly operational environment, where precision, collaboration, and influence are essential. You will work across multiple internal technology teams, delivery partners, and external vendors to ensure changes are managed safely and efficiently, and that configuration data remains accurate, trusted, and actionable.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing service stability, reducing risk, enabling faster delivery, and improving decision-making by embedding best-practice ITIL processes and driving operational excellence.
Key Skills and Experience:

At least 5 years experience in a large organisation's Change and Configuration Management team

Strong knowledge of ITIL change and configuration management, managing the full lifecycle of IT changes with minimal disruption

Expertise in CMDB management, configuration control, and maintaining accurate system and asset data

Proven ability in risk assessment, impact analysis, and governance to ensure safe and compliant change implementation

Solid technical background in IT infrastructure, DevOps, automation tools, and version control systems

Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills, facilitating CABs and coordinating cross‑functional teams

Highly organised with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation capabilities

Experience working in a Microsoft Dynamics, Datalake, Azure IT technical environment is a must.
