Role Description: The SAP Finance Solution Architect is a senior functional specialist responsible for designing and shaping SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions for Australian Federal Government clients. The role supports both presales and delivery engagements, working closely with Lead Architects to translate public sector finance requirements into robust SAP solutions.
Location: Canberra
Salary: AUD 192,845– 208,038 Annual Gross

Roles and Responsibilities:-
Design and document SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions aligned to Federal Government requirements.

Support presales activities through solution workshops, fit-gap analysis, and tender responses.
-
Analyze existing finance processes and systems and contribute to S/4HANA Finance transformation options.
-
Lead or support functional solution workshops with public sector finance stakeholders.
-
Advocate SAP best-practice processes and support standardized solution designs.
-
Provide functional design guidance to delivery teams and support integration across SAP modules.
Technical Expertise & Federal SAP Requirements-
Strong hands-on and design-level experience with SAP FI/CO and SAP S/4HANA Finance.

Experience with SAP Public Sector Management (PSM-FM), FI-CA, and/or PSCD in government environments.

Understanding of Federal Government budgeting, funds management, compliance, and audit requirements.
-
Exposure to SAP Finance migration concepts, fit-gap analysis, and solution transition approaches.
-
Experience producing functional design artefacts and supporting presales solution documentation.
Essential:-
15+ years SAP Finance consulting experience.

Experience delivering or designing solutions for public sector or highly regulated environments.

Experience supporting presales or proposal activities desirable.

SAP certifications preferred.

Ability to obtain or hold an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline or higher).
