Your opportunity:
The Administration Officer provides high-quality administrative support to the school while assisting with communication, information management and community engagement activities. The role supports the effective operation of the school through the coordination of administrative processes, maintenance of communication platforms and provision of timely information to students, staff, families and the broader school community. Working collaboratively with the leadership team and staff, the position contributes to the promotion of school programs, activities and achievements through approved communication channels and supports positive engagement with stakeholders.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing general administrative support to the school and leadership team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and service delivery.
Maintaining and updating the school's website, social media platforms and other approved communication channels to ensure information is accurate, current and aligned with departmental and school requirements.
Assisting with the preparation and distribution of newsletters, notices, correspondence and other school communications.
Supporting the communication and promotion of school activities, programs, events and achievements through approved channels.
Liaising with staff to collect, prepare and publish content that informs and engages students, families and the wider school community while ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
Contribute to the day to day management support staff within the school/college, including identifying corporate service issues, coordinating recruitment and selection, induction and training of support staff and where necessary, provide Injury Management support for staff.
Interpreting departmental and school policies, guidelines and ensuring legislative and procedural requirements are met.
Assist the Principal/Executive Principal/Business Manager in identifying workforce needs including maintaining accurate records, tracking staff data, monitoring staff replacement and ensuring all relevant compliance training is valid and current.
