Employment Opportunity
The Commonwealth Fraud Prevention Centre within AGD plays a pivotal role in supporting Australian Government entities to strengthen their counter fraud capability and meet their obligations under the Commonwealth Fraud and Corruption Control Framework.
The Centre leads policy and legislative reform, provides strategic advice on integrity frameworks and drives whole-of-government approaches to strengthening fraud and corruption prevention. It also delivers practical tools, guidance and expert advice across areas such as fraud risk assessment, control design and assurance, fraud and error measurement and embedding fraud prevention in policy and program design.
The Centre has established a strong foundation for capability development, supporting Commonwealth officials to build practical counter fraud skills and knowledge. We are now entering an exciting new phase in our work and are looking for a strategic and innovative leader who can shape how the Centre builds capability across government through modern and effective learning solutions. You will:

lead the development and implementation of the Centre's next Learning and Development Strategy for implementation from 2027-28 and beyond

lead and evolve the Centre's Training Program and associated learning and development initiatives

engage with stakeholders across government to identify capability needs and explore opportunities to expand the Centre's reach, influence and service offerings for various audiences

design and deliver strategic initiatives that improve capability at scale, including through partnerships, digital solutions, and new funding models

develop frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the Centre's learning and development activities, using evidence to drive continuous improvement

oversee procurement, contract management and external partnerships supporting learning and development initiatives

manage and develop a small, high performing team in a dynamic environment

contribute to broader Centre priorities as required.

We are seeking a strategic and innovative leader who can shape how capability is developed across government, identifying opportunities to introduce contemporary learning approaches, build partnerships, leverage technology and develop scalable solutions that strengthen fraud and corruption prevention across the Commonwealth.
What we're looking for:
- experience developing and implementing L&D or similar strategies that deliver capability, organisational or business improvements

strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to build productive partnerships across organisational boundaries
