About the role
The Dayshift Driving Lead is a field-based leadership role responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of Rig Support and Crane Truck operations in remote infield environments. The position ensures safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of transport services aligned with client operational requirements, while providing real-time supervision, support, and problem resolution in the field.

Roster: 14 on / 14 off
Hourly rate: $49.14 per hour
Specific Responsibilities
- Deliver transport and logistics services in accordance with contractual requirements and performance targets.
- Provide front-line supervision of rig support and crane truck operations in remote field locations.
- Promote and maintain a proactive safety culture through field leadership, audits, and team engagement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards, including remote operations.
- Conduct and record leadership interactions, safety engagements, and interventions (INX).
- Participate in safety meetings and ensure timely close-out of actions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain logistics and resource plans for wells, production, and project activities.
- Identify, manage, and resolve operational issues during execution windows.
- Attend and contribute to planning forums including daily reviews, rig calls, and integrated activity planning sessions.
- Participate in rig pre-start meetings, pre tour meeting, and operational handovers.
- Verify completion of tasks against approved plans and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
- Oversee equipment condition, fault reporting, and maintenance compliance processes.
- Supervise infield activities across multiple scopes (e.g., CSG, FOAM, TGS, WSC, Super Tilt).
- Review and coordinate HVO rosters in conjunction with MSB Transport Leads, identifying and addressing coverage gaps.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and operational support in the field.
- Conduct Verification of Competency (VOC) assessments in line with company standards.
- Ensure fleet expansion activities comply with governance, documentation, and safety requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for rig support and crane truck operations.
- Provide on-call support for operational requirements during work hours.
- Conduct equipment audits and ensure compliance across rig support/ WCS operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain operations
- Demonstrated experience in rig support and field-based operations (highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of transport planning and integration with oil & gas operations
- Proficient in logistics systems and willingness to learn planning/scheduling platforms
- Proven ability to operate effectively in remote and high-demand environments
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Chain of Responsibility (CoR) knowledge and application
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher) – desirable
