Hiring Lab is recruiting an experienced Flashing / Sheet Metal Technician on behalf of a well-established roofing and sheet metal manufacturer based in Moorebank.
If you have hands-on experience working with flashings, gutters, downpipes, rainwater heads, or similar roofing products, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that values quality workmanship and teamwork.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for manufacturing high-quality sheet metal roofing accessories using a range of fabrication equipment. While training will be provided on the company’s Slitter and Folder machines, we’re looking for someone who already understands the industry and can hit the ground running.
Following a successful interview, you’ll complete several weeks on the day shift to learn the company’s operations before transitioning to the afternoon shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture flashings and sheet metal roofing products
- Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret basic drawings and measurements
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication, roofing accessories, or flashing manufacturing
- Knowledge of flashings, gutters, downpipes, rainwater heads, or similar products
- Ability to read basic technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport (essential due to late finish)
- Forklift licence (highly regarded)
