About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and engaging Female Support Worker to provide high-quality in-home respite care for a client living in Wynnum West.
This consistent Monday-to-Friday role is designed to provide essential support to the client while offering valuable respite for their primary family carers. You will be responsible for creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment at home, as well as helping the client stay active and connected in the local Bayside community.
Key Responsibilities
In-Home Respite Care: Providing dedicated, attentive support to ensure the client’s safety and well-being while family carers take a break.
Personal Care & Hygiene: Assisting with dignified morning or daily routines, including showering, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
Domestic Assistance: Helping with general housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, laundry, tidying, and maintaining a hygienic living space.
Community & Social Support: Accompanying the client on outings, social activities, or walks along the local Wynnum/Manly foreshore to promote social inclusion and emotional well-being.
Schedule & Availability
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Shifts: Consistent daily daytime hours (specific shift windows will be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process).
Requirements & Qualifications
Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support, Disability, or equivalent (highly regarded).
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
National Police Check.
Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence with a reliable, insured vehicle (essential for community access and outings).
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a genuine passion for companion-led care.
Working rights in Australia.
