Cook/Chef – Casual Position

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our busy kitchen team. This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and takes pride in producing high quality meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a consistent standard following recipe
- Assist with daily food preparation and stock rotation
- Maintain comprehensive product knowledge including ingredients, equipment, and current food trends
- Provide input into new dishes
- Store and label food correctly according to hygiene and safety standards and to control and minimise waste and loss
- Check the presentation of menu items before serving Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during peak service times
- About You
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen
- AQF Certificate IV (or equivalent) in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management
- Strong understanding of food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality
- Availability for weekend and evening shifts
