We are an established commercial joinery company seeking an experienced Commercial Joinery Drafter to join our team on a full-time basis.
We work across a variety of commercial projects and are looking for someone with CabMaster experience who understands how to produce accurate, practical shop drawings ready for manufacture.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing detailed commercial joinery shop drawings using CabMaster
- Interpreting architectural drawings, specifications and finishes schedules
- Producing plans, elevations, sections and construction details
- Preparing accurate, production-ready drawings for manufacture
- Incorporating site measurements into shop drawings
- Reviewing and actioning architect/client drawing comments
- Liaising with project managers, estimators and factory staff
- Identifying discrepancies or potential issues before manufacture
- Preparing RFIs where clarification is required
- Managing drawing revisions throughout the project
What We're Looking For
The ideal applicant will have:
- CabMaster experience
- Experience drafting commercial joinery
- Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and manufacturing methods
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Good knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, hardware and fittings
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- A practical understanding of joinery manufacture and installation
Experience producing CNC/production-ready documentation will be highly regarded.
