The main objective of this role is to coordinate and implement best practice employee relations initiatives. This role primarily focuses on supporting internal stakeholders to effectively managing their people by implementing processes and policies to embed positive relations and wellbeing within teams.
About the Role
- Partner with the business to provide comprehensive ER support – in particular with respect to the procedural approach to be taken for resolution of workplace grievances and complaints.
- Provide advice and support around workplace investigations, policy violations or misconduct.
- Support and manage investigations as required.
- Provide advice and support to Leaders, and team members as required on general Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) terms and conditions – such as absenteeism management, performance management and Modern Award payments.
- Provide advice, support and guidance on relevant country (Australia, Papua New Guinea or New Zealand) legislation and interpretations of HR policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and support on the mediation of disputes, triage the dispute to ensure it is actioned within a timely manner.
- Provide support, advice and guidance on procedures such as counselling and disciplinary, and termination of staff or wages.
- Implement ER initiatives aligned with broader P&C priorities and business strategy – for example analysis of staff culture surveys.
- Conduct training and coaching sessions for employees and managers (including but not limited to flexible working, performance management, unconscious bias, EEO).
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders.
Offer advice, coaching, and support to managers.

About You – Qualifications & Experience
To be successful, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in the Human Resource sector, ideally within a relevant industry.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and communication skills, time management, and adaptability. Ability to work both
independently and within teams, with a commercial mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
