About the Role
Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking an experienced nursing professional to join our Palms Aged Care Service as our Care Manager. Our site is a 50-bed residential aged care service located in the stunning location of Ingham, North Queensland.
Working closely with the Service Manager, the Care Manager is responsible for providing expert clinical leadership in the achievement of clinical standards and quality service delivery. You will play an important role in creating a culture where residents receive compassionate, individualised care and employees are supported to deliver their best.
Key Responsibilities

Lead a collaborative approach to residential care planning and quality improvement.

Review AN-ACC data for accuracy before submission.

Monitor clinical practice, procedures, programs and initiatives.

Oversee resident documentation and compliance with organisational requirements.

Coordinate and monitor clinical care delivered by staff and external providers.
This position is formally designated as a Responsible Person under the Aged Care Act 2024.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced nursing professional who is passionate about clinical leadership, quality care and making a difference in the lives of older people.
Essential:
-
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.

Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in aged care or acute care.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Sound problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills.

Ability to lead change and drive quality and continuous improvement.

Strong understanding of clinical governance, safety and legislative compliance.
Desirable:
-
Postgraduate qualification in Gerontology, Dementia or Aged Care.

Experience with AN-ACC and aged care funding processes.

Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and working across organisational boundaries.
You must hold valid Australian working rights (we are currently not able to sponsor), a current National Police Check (or ability to acquire), current CPR and an unrestricted driver's licence.
