About the Firm
We are a fast-growing, Sydney-based insolvency and restructuring firm with a strong pipeline of appointments and a reputation for delivering commercial, practical outcomes. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Assistant Manager and/or Manager to join our team.
About the Role
You will work closely with senior staff and Directors across a broad range of corporate insolvency and restructuring engagements. This is a hands-on role with genuine opportunities for progression as the firm continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and progress a portfolio of corporate insolvency engagements, including liquidations, voluntary administrations, receiverships and small business restructures
- Prepare statutory reports to creditors, ASIC, and other stakeholders
- Conduct investigations into company affairs, including potential insolvent trading and voidable transactions.
- Analysis of financial Statements and reporting on historical books & records
- Preparation of Budgets, Trading cashflows and estimated outcome statements
- Adjudication of creditor claims and calculation of dividends distributions.
- Liaise with directors, creditors, legal advisors, and other stakeholders
- Coach and mentor junior staff
- Assist with asset realisations and adjudication of creditor claims
- Support business development initiatives and support provided as you start to build your own client relationships
About You
- 4+ years’ experience in corporate insolvency/restructuring
- CA or CPA qualified (or currently working towards)
- Experience with Bank account reconciliations, Business Activity Statement preparation & review
- Prior experience with payroll processing, STP and calculation of employee entitlements, with regard for relevant awards & legislation.
- Strong technical knowledge of insolvency processes and legislation
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with CORE IPS preferred
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work autonomously
- Commercial mindset with strong attention to detail

Pay: $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
