About the Role
As an Audio-Visual Service Technician, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, and ongoing support of commercial-grade audio visual and videoconferencing systems.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, ensuring their AV infrastructure remains reliable, operational, and optimised for business-critical environments.
Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Service & Support
- Deliver priority on-site and remote support for AV and videoconferencing systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair commercial-grade AV equipment
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Respond to incidents and service requests within agreed service levels
- Provide technical assistance and user support for AV and VC technologies
- Develop and maintain user guides and operational documentation
- Maintain accurate asset registers, spare parts inventories and service records
- Assist with repair quotations where warranties have expired
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and customer expectations
About You
You're a proactive and customer-focused AV professional who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems, and working with a variety of technologies and environments.
You take pride in delivering high-quality work, building strong customer relationships, and continually developing your technical expertise.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience within the Audio Visual industry
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
- Experience supporting AV and videoconferencing systems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate qualification or relevant technical certification in a related field
- Experience supporting enterprise AV, unified communications or collaboration technologies
- Understanding of service management principles and ticketing systems
