Beyond Health Services is expanding our team and we are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner to support NDIS participants with behaviours of concern. We are a registered NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that promote independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
About the Role
You will work with participants, families, and support networks to complete functional behaviour assessments, develop Behaviour Support Plans, and provide ongoing coaching and capacity-building supports. This role suits someone who enjoys working autonomously while being supported by an experienced and responsive team.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Completing functional behaviour assessments and identifying underlying needs
- Developing Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans
- Delivering Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Providing training and coaching to families and support workers
- Monitoring participant progress and updating plans as required
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and services
- Maintaining clear, accurate documentation in line with NDIS standards
About You
We are looking for someone calm, empathetic, and confident working with behaviours of concern. You will need:
- A degree in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, speech pathology, or similar allied health discipline
- Registration or eligibility for your relevant professional body (AHPRA, AASW, Speech Pathology Australia)
- Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support under the NDIS
- Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and restrictive practice requirements
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- First Aid and CPR
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
