A combined role for an established builder in the insurance building industry. Reporting to the Project Manager as part of the Projects team you will be responsible for delivering on trade procurement, building permit applications, supplier management, contract administration and cost management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source and allocate suitable sub-contractors to deliver construction projects from existing Ethos database.
- Allocate work orders and manage costs of trades in line with company targets and set KPI’s
- Ensure work orders and trade quotes are aligned with expected onsite works
- Liaise with supervisors to obtain feedback and monitor trade performance
- Identify when additional subcontractors are required and commence sourcing and onboarding of new trades.
- Monitor amount of works allocated to trades by total value and issued works orders
PERMIT DELIVERY
- Coordinate and monitor the progress of all building permit applications in consultation with the broader construction and claims team
- Manage MDBC and commercial contract compliance and amendments
- Manage contractor compliance and subcontract agreements
- Application and closure of HOW insurance certificates on domestic projects
- Application and management of municipal and infrastructure permits (road occupation/closure permits, etc.)
- Prepare and manage Request for Information (RFI) documents from the building surveyor
- Oversee the documentation of all stages of working drawings, engineering plans, and any related requirements
- Preparation of approved permit documentation (stamped plans) for site use, including associated permit details and OH&S coordination plan site signs
- Monitor and schedule critical building permit inspections and documentation in conjunction with construction supervisors and issued permit requirements
- Collate final inspection documents, apply for final inspections, and manage permit close-out
- Meet internally and externally set KPIs
- Provide support to construction supervisors, estimators, and claims teams as required during catastrophes/high-volume events
QUALITY ASSURANCE
o Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KPIs
o Maintain compliance with regulatory and service standards
o Ensure causation and variation reporting along with all communications meet client expectations
CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
o Draft, review, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with insurance, safety, and scope specifications.
o Support head contract administration including variations, extensions of time, progress claims, and documentation for invoicing.
o Maintain accurate records in the job management and document control systems.
o Coordinate with Finance on payment schedules, retentions, and compliance documentation.
o Ensure contractor compliance with established Ethos Building trading terms
COST MANAGEMENT
- Process and reconciliation of payments received for permits and/or bonds, including the return of bond amounts held by Council after works
o Review of contractor invoices for works completed
o Encourage and promote cost saving techniques
o Ensure all expenditure aligns with Ethos Finance Policy, processes and procedures
o Review job costs once completed. Monitor cost leakage and additional work orders created after procurement process completed
Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
