In this role, you'll:
Be responsible for the assurance, integration and performance of Building Management Control Systems (BMCS) and Power Control Systems (PCS) across the Sydney Metro network.
You will provide authoritative technical advice, ensure systems meet safety, availability and performance requirements, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support successful design, testing, readiness and operational outcomes across the asset lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the engineering assurance for BMCS and PCS, including platform and passenger control and associated systems.
- Ensure systems meet safety, performance, availability and regulatory requirements across design, delivery and operations.
- Manage integration of BMCS and PCS with station MEP systems, communications, power, transport management and broader rail systems.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, readiness for service and transition to operations.
- Provide authoritative technical advice and engineering judgement to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams, contractors and partners to deliver safe, high-quality and integrated outcomes.

About you
You are a knowledgeable and proactive engineering professional with strong experience in complex control systems within rail or comparable infrastructure environments.
You bring a systems-thinking mindset, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a commitment to engineering excellence, safety and continuous improvement.
You are comfortable operating with autonomy while contributing to broader organisational outcomes in a complex and evolving technical environment.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working with complex station or building management control systems and power control systems.
- Proven capability in engineering assurance, systems integration and technical governance within a rail or safety-critical environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholder interfaces.
- Eligibility to meet Sydney Metro competency requirements (minimum L2 Mechanical Systems & SCADA) and Rail Safety Worker requirements.
