About the Role
The General Manager Community Health is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and financial sustainability of the Community Health Services, including the Support at Home program, District Nursing Services, and Allied Health Services. The role is accountable for driving service excellence, financial performance, growth opportunities, regulatory compliance, and workforce effectiveness across the Community Health portfolio. Working collaboratively with executive leadership, staff, contractors, and external stakeholders, the General Manager ensures the delivery of sustainable, integrated, and consumer-centred services that support the health and wellbeing of the community while achieving the organisation's strategic and business objectives.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health Management, Business, Nursing, Allied Health, Public Health, Aged Care, or a related discipline.
Key Selection Criteria (Essential):
- Understanding of Aged Care Standards, NDIS Practice Standards, Child Safe Standards and National Safety and Quality Health Services standards.
- Demonstrated senior leadership experience with the ability to develop and implement strategies that deliver sustainable, high-quality services aligned with organisational objectives.
- Senior leadership experience in the management of Commonwealth-funded aged care and community care programs, including Support at Home, Commonwealth Home Supported Program or similar services.
- Proven experience in meeting complex reporting, accreditation, legislative and compliance requirements across community services
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including contracted service providers and managing the delivery of allied health and community-based clinical services. Strong understanding of service planning, workforce requirements, quality improvement, and client-centred care models.
- Effective in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a positive workplace culture, managing change, and supporting workforce capability development across diverse service areas.
- Highly developed digital literacy, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, contractors, executive leadership, community members, funding bodies, and external stakeholders.
- Illustrated commitment to continuous improvement, service innovation, and consumer-centred care. Experience using data and performance metrics to improve service outcomes, client satisfaction, and organisational performance.

Moyne Health Services is a public, not for profit, integrated healthcare service that helps meet community healthcare needs in Port Fairy and surrounding districts in the Moyne Shire. Employing more than 260 people, MHS operates a 12-bed acute hospital, 2 Aged Care Residences with a total of 82 beds, primary and community care services, social support group programs and Allied Health Services.
