Governance and Risk Consultant | Permanent | Jandakot and Perth offices
As our Governance and Risk Consultant help shape and continuously enhance governance, risk management and compliance across our Training function. This role plays a critical part in maintaining Western Power's Registered Training Organisation (RTO) licence by providing expert advice on legislation, regulatory requirements, governance frameworks and industry standards. You'll work closely with senior leaders to strengthen compliance, minimise organisational risk and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
This role will be primarily based at our Jandakot location, with some days working from our Perth CBD office when required.
Your Role in Action
Lead governance, risk and compliance frameworks across People Capability.
Ensure RTO compliance with ASQA requirements, legislation and industry standards.
Develop and maintain governance policies, procedures and compliance controls.
Manage RTO reporting, submissions and training product compliance reviews.
Provide strategic risk advice and support risk mitigation activities.
Conduct audits, compliance reviews and risk assessments to drive improvement.
Monitor regulatory changes and update governance practices accordingly.
Deliver reporting, insights and training to strengthen governance and accountability.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Demonstrated experience in RTO governance, compliance and reporting.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality frameworks.
Proven experience developing and improving governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
Strong capability in risk assessment, compliance management and audit activities.
Experience providing strategic advice in complex and changing environments.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical approach.
Ability to translate data and insights into meaningful business recommendations.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Risk Management, Commerce, Law, Engineering or a related discipline.
