The remarkable achievements at this project have now sparked an increase in our operational demands, with our team seeking an experienced Medical Emergency Services Officer (MESO) to join the Terra Mining team.

About The Position
Reporting to the HSET Superintendent, you will play a critical role by providing first response emergency coverage 24/7 at the Extension Hill mine and camp accommodation along with assisting with maintaining the general health and safety of all site’s operational personnel.
Your day-to-day activities will include but are not limited to:
- Responding to site emergencies and maintaining a state of operational readiness.
- Providing First Aid Treatment, Basic and Advanced Emergency Medical Care and Basic Primary Healthcare.
- Inspecting of ambulance, equipment and facilities and the accurate maintenance of records.
- Providing health & hygiene related awareness & information materials, including presentations to site workforce.
- Administrating drug and alcohol screening tests as and when directed, including sample collection, and screening where necessary.
- Assisting in the planning and coordination of and participating in site emergency drills.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a mining or heavy industry environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Emergency Response and Rescue.
- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue.
- Certificate IV in Healthcare.
- Drug and Alcohol Testing trained (Authorised DAS Collection Officer).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be desirable.
- Valid Australian driver’s Licence
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and communication
You must have full Australian working rights, be able to complete and pass a medical assessment (including drug & alcohol screen) and be able to provide a current National Police Clearance (within last 12 months).
