About Us
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cargo Agent on behalf of a respected Japanese airline to join their team at Perth Airport.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in an international aviation environment, supporting cargo operations and contributing to high-quality service delivery. Training will be conducted at the Perth office through classroom sessions and on-the-job training (OJT). There may also be opportunities to attend training overseas.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities and duties:
- Oversee export handling (reservations, cargo acceptance, build-up, confirmation, and reporting)
- Manage import handling (cargo arrival, delivery, storage, warehouse operations, ULD control, charge collection)
- Supervise and control processes handled by the Ground Handling Agent (GHA)
- Monitor GHA performance against Standard Ground Handling Agreements and SLAs
- Prepare, distribute, file, and retain operational messages, reports, and notices
- Manage local Road Feeder Service operations
- Ensure compliance with airline rules, regulations, and procedures
- Attend and support all handling activities across applicable operational areas
Perform ad hoc duties as required

Your Profile
- Experience in airline cargo operations or freight/logistics-related roles is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Japanese language skills are not required but strong interest in Japan and willingness to learn about Japanese culture is essential
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
- Shift-based role, 5 days per week (including weekends and public holidays)
- Roster is prepared on a monthly basis
- Flight operation days:15:00 – 23:00
- Non-operation days: 09:00 – 17:00 or 10:00 – 18:00
Daily working hours: 7.5 hours + 30-minute break (8 hours total)
