Full-Time Cook – Osteria Epoca
Location: Yeronga, BrisbaneEmployment type: Permanent full-time, minimum 38 hours per week
Salary: $79,423–$81,000 per annum plus superannuation
Osteria Epoca is a busy Italian restaurant in Yeronga, known for warm hospitality, quality ingredients and authentic Italian-inspired food. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team in a permanent full-time salary position.
About the Role
Working as part of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard while helping maintain an organised, efficient and professional kitchen.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Completing daily food preparation and mise en place
- Maintaining consistency in food quality, presentation and portioning
- Working across different sections of the kitchen as required
- Supporting the Head Chef and senior kitchen team during service
- Receiving, rotating and correctly storing food and kitchen supplies
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
- Assisting with stock control and minimising food waste
- Working effectively with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Experience: At least one year of relevant experience as a Cook in a restaurant or comparable commercial kitchen
- Is comfortable working in a busy service environment
- Has good food preparation and cooking skills
- Takes pride in consistency and presentation
- Understands food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements
- Is reliable, punctual and organised
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Is available to work a flexible roster including evenings and weekends
Experience with Italian cuisine, pasta, pizza would be highly regarded.
